Damiana (Turnera diffusa, or Turnera aphrodisiaca) is a shrub originating of Central America to the leaves green-pale and the yellow flowers, they have an odor prickly and penetrating. The decoctions or infusions of leaves of Damania were used by the Indian Maya of Mexico and known since centuries in South America, in Central America like in the West of India to increase the sexual desire. Used traditionally as aphrodisiac, it's also an excellent tonic and reconstituting of nervous system.
